Reverse engineering; to produce CAD data without using CAD data and to produce CAD data using molds digitizing systems.

 In order to obtain the data of a part by reverse engineering; Firstly, the mesh data of the piece must be obtained. We can obtain the mesh data of the part we want to create CAD data with 3D OPTICAL SCAN, 3D LASER SCAN or XRAY CT SCAN. CAD data can be generated by two methods on the obtained mesh data;

 The first method; We can create CAD model by using solid and surface commands with sections and drafts by using REVERSE ENGINEERING software.

 The second method is; Some models we want to obtain CAD data may contain patterns. Patterns in a canonical CAD software can take a long time to create or create with the help of sections and drafts. In such cases, CAD data can be easily created with Fast Surface (AutoSurface). The AutoSurface process can also be used in parts that the customer wants fast and cheap.

 We can obtain CAD data with both methods, the difference between them is one of the CAD data in order that we have the control and control in REVERSE ENGINEERING software. The other is the emergence of CAD data according to the algorithm of the REVERSE ENGINEERING software.

Where reverse engineering is needed;
 1- When we need CAD Data required for manufacturing prior to CNC technology,
2- If molds of broken, deformed or worn parts are to be produced again,
3- Archiving of data,
4- Comparing competitive products with our own products,
5- When copies of historical works are requested,
6- When CAD data is needed for industrial parts,
 7 – Modeling of molds with exercise surfaces.
